Wordpress 2.5 And Fluency, I Love You
Sat, Mar 29, 2008
I’d gush about the new Wordpress 2.5 that was officially released today, but I think Matt (from Wordpress) deserves the link love for creating this great screencast after having 5 teeth removed. Yes, he sounds like he just swallowed a razor blade, but you’ll be so excited about what he has to say, that you won’t even notice after about 12 seconds.
Not only do you get to see the new and improved, clean look of the dashboard, but you also get to see a demo of the built-in photo gallery in action. If you already use Wordpress, I don’t have to tell you to upgrade to version 2.5. If you don’t use Wordpress, then you will now, because I just put a hex on you.
Even though Wordpress 2.5 now has a spiffy dashboard and that new car smell, it’s possible that it’s still not stylish enough for you and your blogger flip flops. If that’s the case, you have an alternative. Check out the cool new plugin for Wordpress 2.5 called Fluency Admin. It’s so slick! The only issue that I know of is it only will work in CSS2 compliant browsers. But, if you are using Explorer, there’s no better time than the present to switch to Firefox! Here’s a screenshot of the Fluency Write New Post window:
